Outlierz Ventures is an Africa-focused early-stage VC fund based out of Morocco. The fund invests in tech-enabled companies solving fundamental problems in key industries across the most dynamic ecosystems in Africa (mainly fintech, insurtech, agritech, healthtech and distribution/logistics). The fund primarily focuses on 4 main markets: Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria and Kenya, with a growing interest for Francophone West Africa. Portfolio companies include Kenya's retail tech platform Sokowtach, Morocco's B2B trade platform for Africa WaystoCap, Africa's corporate data company Asoko Insight, Egyptian retail and distribution platform MaxAB, and last-mile B2B logistics company TousFacteurs (diaspora).
The fund was launched by African entrepreneurs for African entrepreneurs, and backed by world-class investors and successful entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley and Africa, including Michael Seibel of YCombinator, 500 Startups, as well as former CEOs and C-level executive of large companies in Africa and the diaspora.
