outsett is the artist management and consultancy company formed by James Ellett in 2020.
James started his career 15 years ago working at Prestige management (Mcfly, The Vamps), helping successfully scout members for later multi platinum selling acts. He was employed in a full-time position aged 18 by Ashley Tabor at Global, working in the publishing and records division. He worked across a number of successful campaigns with the likes of; Jungle, Ellie Goulding, Lawson, The Wanted, Elyar Fox, The Academic, Nathan Sykes and others, before moving to work in Global’s LA operation where he signed a number of acts to their publishing roster including the later billion+ streaming act; COIN.
Following his return to the UK he worked at powerhouse Modest! Management for a number of years learning the ropes of of high end major label management and as an A&R for their publishing venture. James worked in a day to day position for Hey Violet and The Voice UK winners and later developed and launched Elektra records act; New Rules.
Following his stint within companies working and learning under titans of modern pop / alternative music, James founded outsett.
