Outsider.i is the creative identity of photographer Isabell Janssen, whose work explores how people connect, to themselves, to each other, and to the world around them.
Having grown up surrounded by movement, constantly adjusting to new rhythms and places, Isabell’s camera became her way of grounding herself. It offered her a way to ask questions, to observe closely, and to find belonging. That same sense of curiosity and care shapes her work today.
Her imagery blends the honesty of documentary with the intention of editorial. Themes like identity, community, and representation are central, not just in concept, but in practice. She approaches every project as a collaboration, creating space for people to be seen as they are: complex, powerful, soft, joyful, real.
