About Us
My name is Jessy Jolicoeur. I’m the head brewer and owner of Oval Craft Brewing. My brewing experience is primarily in homebrewing. I started homebrewing in 1997 while in college. My education is in biology with a significant focus on microbiology. The microwork lends itself to brewing very well. The arrival of my children meant taking a little break from brewing because it was so difficult to keep everything clean! Since then, I’ve completed a course at the American Brewer’s Guild and also the “Start Your Own Brewery” course at the Seibel Institute in Chicago.
Now I've been in business since 2016. I tend to create balanced beers that are easy to drink. I prefer to work in subtleties so my beer is always beer first then the secondary flavors will come through. You can find everything from New England IPAs to Oatmeal Stouts on tap. I don't concentrate on any particular styles. I like to have a variety of flavors for anyone's unique tastes.
