Ownmed Innovation is a MedTech spin-off that emerged from the collaboration between the Fundación para la Investigación Biomédica del Hospital Gregorio Marañón (FIBHGM), the Fundación Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Fundación Jiménez Díaz (FIIS-FJD), and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). Currently, it is affiliated with the Incubation and Acceleration Program of the UC3M Scientific Park and the V Acceleration Program of La Nave in Madrid. Its main objective is the development of a medical device, Ostofix®, aimed at ostomate patients, with the purpose of restoring their ability to regain control over their continence.
