Research advisor: Prof. Mirna Pérez-Moreno.Project title (Master Thesis): “Role of interleukin 24 in initiation and tumour progression of skin cancer”.I analysed the expression of IL24 in different cell lines of keratinocytes (MCA3D, PDV, HaCa4, CarC, from non-tumorigenic to more tumorigenic) by doing the experimental techniques related to this: cell culture, extraction of RNA, DNA and proteins, analysis by Western-Blot, RT-PCR, generation of transformed cell lines (up-regulation of genes), transfection of plasmids in these cell lines, in vitro assays. This work was presented as my final Master Project.- Cell culture (viability and apoptosis assays, stable transfections, cell lysis, colony formation assays, migration assays, invasion assays). - RNA extraction, RT-qPCR- Quantification and isolation of proteins, electrophoresis and immunoblotting (Western blot). - Transformation in bacteria, isolation of DNA.- Fluorescent microscopy: immunofluorescence. -
