Oyate Tipi Cumini Yape

Oyate Tipi is a nonprofit organization located in Winnipeg’s north end. The concept of Oyate Tipi was first visualized in 1995 by a group of crisis workers who were providing outreach and follow-up services to women in transition. These workers observed that even when women received supports and a new home, they did not have the comforts which truly make it a home. Oyate Tipi provides a venue for generous people within Winnipeg to donate their gently used furniture and household items to be reused, refurbished, and upcycled. You will not only help families in need but also in doing so, thousands of pounds of household goods are diverted from our landfills thus relieving the burden of our waste on Mother Earth
