Paadmaan projects

Paadmaan (meaning ‘safeguard’ in Persian) is an independent artist-run, and nomadic platform for contemporary art with an interdisciplinary approach. It was founded in 2018 in Tehran by artist-curator Foad Alijani and has relocated to Amsterdam since 2023. Through diverse curatorial programming, Paadmaan projects aims to expand the discourse around contemporary art within various artist communities, supporting their input and transforming it into output. Paadmaan projects endeavors to build networks and create an archive of contemporary art by focusing on research, dialogue, and presentation. It supports these efforts by organizing exhibitions, events, lectures, screenings, and publications.
