Established in 1995, Pacchiosi Drill U.S.A., Inc (Pacchiosi USA) is the US subsidiary of the international company Drill Pac S.r.l. of Roma, Italy. The Drill Pac family of companies operates on a worldwide basis with its principal focus on Jet Grouting.
For over 40 years, Drill Pac Group manufactures its own State-of-the-Art Jet Grouting equipment, including: different models of drill rigs, automated grout mixing plants, high pressure pumps, real-time data recording systems, and most associated jet grouting accessories and tools (rods, injection monitors, swivel heads, jet nozzles, etc.). Its equipment and jet grouting technology are in use on every continent. As a manufacturer of jet grouting equipment or as a specialized contractor, Drill Pac Group has been involved in hundreds of projects encompassing millions of linear feet of Jet Grouting treatment.
Pacchiosi USA was a pioneer in the introduction the Jet Grouting technique in North America the 1990s.
The very successful application of the Jet Grouting method by Pacchiosi USA for the 63rd Street Line Connection Project in New York, in 1995-1997, was critical in the wider acceptance of the Jet Grouting as a viable ground improvement method in USA. For this project, three deep underpinning/cutoff walls were installed through dense glacial soils directly below and each side of the active five-line 63rd Street Line Subway Tunnel to allow for the construction of the two new connecting tunnels merging into the existing tunnel.
From 2001 to 2002, Pacchiosi USA completed for the US Army Corps of Engineers the installation of deep jet grout cutoffs at five different locations to close gaps in the cutoff system of the American River levee system in Sacramento, California. These Jet Grout cutoffs were constructed at the crossings of railroads, roads and large subsurface utilities with the alignment of the dike.
