About PACE-RURAL
Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions are the leading cause of disease burden in Australia, and access to high-value care remains inequitable. In regional, rural and remote areas, low-value MSK care (e.g., opioids, unnecessary imaging) is prevalent, whilst access to specialist allied health services is limited. This research project explores a new pathway of care (PACE-RURAL) designed to improve health outcomes in regional, rural and remote Australia.
