What is Pacifica?
Pacifica is a mobile application that empowers individuals to take control of their stress and anxiety by moving care into their daily lives. Quick, engaging exercises teach users to manage and cope with their anxiety, in turn reducing the financial burden of payers, both individual and institutional.
The Problem
40 Million adults in the U.S. are affected by anxiety disorders. Two-thirds of them are not in treatment due to the stigma, the cost, or the commitment involved. The current implementations available to them are simple mappings from typical workbook-based pen and paper exercises to a mobile device. However, workbooks themselves don’t fit into our normal routines. Pacifica is designed from the perspective of someone with anxiety in order to provide a unique solution that addresses how anxiety affects people on a daily basis.
