OUR VISION
The PACO Foundation aims to fulfill unmet needs in the diagnosis, care and treatment of thromboembolic diseases. We envision integrating a continuum of patient service, guided by coordination of patient and healthcare practitioner education, enhanced with rigorous thromboembolism research, which we believe will ultimately lead to improvement in gaps of care and treatment. We foresee these efforts having the added benefit of propelling the coagulation science forward, ultimately saving lives through prevention and better treatment of thromboembolic disease. To this end, we will actively pursue and recruit the participation of practicing physicians, pharmacists, medical students, industry-based professionals, and laypersons to join us in our efforts to advance our vision.
OUR MISSION
The PACO Foundation’s quest is to expand knowledge of thromboembolic diseases, raise awareness of the potential onset of thromboembolic events, and create communities to address the needs of those who have been affected by these diseases. We support collaboration and knowledge sharing within areas of education, research and patient access to care. We strive to more effectively promote and raise awareness of thromboembolism.
