PacTec EPS Ltd together with PacTec Inc. have been designing and manufacturing Transport and Containment Packaging solutions principally for radioactive Low-Level Wastes (LLW) for over 20 years, i.e. Industrial Package Types IP-1 and Type IP-2. All Package designs are certified compliant with IAEA SSR-6 & ADR Class 7 regulatory transport regulations. Compliance and substantiation is provided by successful mandatory testing together with underpinning Package Design Safety Report (PDSR) approval documentation and Certificates of Conformity. Providing an innovative, cost effective and ‘fit for purpose’ solution that improves packaging efficiencies by replacing drums and steel boxes, increasing transport volumes, easier handling, and reduction of storage space requirements. In addition, our dual certified Class 7 Type IP-1 & UN PGX FIBC’s are providing an innovative transformation for the packaging and transport of NORM sludge wastes in the Oil & Gas sector by replacing the use of drums. This increases the overall packaging efficiency, improves filling and handling for operators and significantly reduces that storage space requirements due to flat-pack delivery and storage. Considered as a Duty Holder for Design and Manufacture of Class 7 Transport Packages PacTec EPS Ltd successfully passed an audit inspection by the UK Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR), as Compliant Office for Nuclear Regulation inspection May 2024.
