At Paglipat, our mission is to foster a vibrant and inclusive community that promotes active engagement and meaningful participation of Pilipinx transfer students in Pilipinx organizations at the UC Berkeley campus. We are dedicated to creating a supportive and empowering environment that celebrates the diverse identities, experiences, and perspectives of Pilipinx transfer students, while enriching the overall campus community. Our initiative recognizes the importance of a seamless transition for Pilipinx transfer students as they embark on their UC Berkeley journey. To ensure a holistic integration, we have established a groundbreaking approach by appointing a dedicated Transfer Liaison for each of the 9 Pilipinx organizations on campus. These liaisons serve as pivotal bridges, providing personalized guidance, mentorship, and resources tailored to the needs of transfer students. Through our innovative Transfer Liaisons, Pilipinx transfer students will find a supportive ally within their respective organizations, facilitating their active involvement and contribution. These liaisons will collaborate with the organizations' leadership to create targeted initiatives, events, and workshops specifically designed to address the unique experiences and aspirations of transfer students. With a deep-rooted commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and cultural preservation, Paglipat endeavors to create a legacy of engagement and empowerment. By establishing a network of Transfer Liaisons, we inspire future generations of Pilipinx transfer students to thrive academically, socially, and personally while making enduring contributions to the rich tapestry of UC Berkeley's campus life.
