While on the golf course the simplest of ideas sprung to mind when teeing up the golf ball, how are golf tees made and what is their impact on the environment.
It turns out this impact is significant with an estimated 8.8m tees a year which is equivalent to 17 tonnes of waste tee’s used in the UAE alone.
But there is a solution.
Partnering with Palmade, a UAE based manufacturer of products from natural materials including the leaves from the date palm tree, we have collectively produced golf tees from these leaves.
The tee’s are 100% biodegradable and compostable meaning when the tee degrades it all goes back to nature.
