Palmares LAB e Ação

Palmares Laboratório-Ação is a think and DO tank, created and managed by young people, dedicated to developing technologies that promote social justice and create new realities for the world. We work to address the climate crisis both locally and globally and to transform the lives of black and indigenous youth through technology and action. With our actions and initiatives, we aim to positively impact the formulation and implementation of public policies from the transformative vision of the youth, acting through advocacy and the creation of technologies to advance social justice and reduce inequalities. Founded in 2021, Palmares was born with the goal of conceiving and implementing actions that highlight the role of youth in creating solutions for social and climate justice. Our first project was featured in the Ecofalante Exhibition in 2021, and in 2022 we participated in the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP-26, returning in the following conferences, COP-27 and COP-28. We emphasize our visions and agendas focusing on the North-Northeast regions of Brazil, the areas most affected by climate change in the country, with human development indexes and access to basic rights below the national average.
