Héritier de la société d'Etat Palmindustrie, SIFCA a débuté l’exploitation des plantations de palmiers à huile et la transformation d’huile de palme brute et raffinée en Côte d’Ivoire et dans la sous-région en 1997.
A travers sa filiale PALMCI, le groupe SIFCA se positionne comme l’un des principaux producteurs d’huile de palme brute en Afrique de l’Ouest. Il gère plus de 40 000 hectares de Plantations Industrielles (PI), réparties sur huit (08) sites (Ehania-Toumaguié-Irobo-Iboké-Néka-Boubo-Blidouba-Gbapet) et contribue à l’encadrement d’environ 27 000 planteurs sur quelques 133 000 hectares de Plantations Villageoises (PV).
Depuis 1999, PALMCI entretient des rapports privilégiés avec les planteurs, à travers un ensemble d'actions économiques et sociales, qui contribuent au développement des communautés locales
En fournissant 60% des régimes usinés par PALMCI, les planteurs privés sont au cœur du développement de la production en Côte d'Ivoire. Depuis 2007, PALMCI a entrepris un vaste programme de réhabilitation des plantations villageoises, articulé autour de 4 points essentiels notamment, l'appui au développement (fourniture de plants), appui matériel (outillage de récolte, équipements et engrais), appui technique (formation technique de l'ensemble des acteurs) et gestion pour le compte d'une PV.
