Palomar Animation

Founded in 1986 by Carlo Degli Esposti and based in Rome, Palomar is one of the longest-standing Italian production companies. It is a sector leader with a proven track record in producing high-quality films, TV dramas, and documentaries awarded all over the world. Among its most representative titles are "Inspector Montalbano", the internationally successful series based on the novels by Andrea Camilleri and sold in over 70 countries, the Emmy-nominated series "Red Band Society”, the Silver Bear winners theatrical features “Piranhas” and “Hidden away”, the Goya awards winner "The Fury of a Patient Man" and the Oscar nominated “The Life Ahead”. A Mediawan partner since 2019, Palomar opens its animation branch in 2020, locating the studio in Emilia Romagna, coproducing “The enchanted village of Pinocchio” (2022) and “The 3 Musketeers” (in production) with Method Animation, establishing its presence on the international animation scene. The animation studio has been involved in several other projects (“Petronix Defenders”, “Pirates Academy” and “Miraculous - the movie”) and works as well on VFX production for its own live action shows.
