PalTV is Durham University’s only student-led TV station. Founded by James Tillotson in 2021, the team is comprised of enthusiastic and talented producers, presenters, camera operators, editors, engineers, marketers and more. We work collaboratively to deliver high-quality media content for the wider Durham student population. In 2022 we launched the first ever UK student TV foreign correspondence team: PalTV Global and we now report on stories worldwide.
PalTV was awarded Broadcaster of the Year in the 2022 National Association of Student TV Awards, less than a year after launching. The station was awarded Broadcaster of the Year again in 2023 and 2024, marking three consecutive years.
