Climate change severely impacts vulnerable communities in developing countries. Climate finance to alleviate these impacts is negligible, with needs 5 to 10 times greater than current flows. Much-needed private sector funding stands at 2% of current flows and needs to grow significantly. Staffed by a leadership team in climate, financial markets and operations, Pandan uses a blended finance structure to DE-RISK private investments and bring large-scale private-sector climate finance to vulnerable communities, especially women in developing countries that are worst hit by climate change.
