Co-funded by the European Union, PANDOMIC (short for “Implementation of Pandemic Preparedness Plan using Integrated Genomic Surveillance Programs”) is an initiative from the Laboratoire national de santé (LNS, Luxembourg), the Insitutul Național de Sănătate Publica (INSP, Romania) and the Institutul de Cercetare-Dezvoltare Medico-Militară Cantacuzino (IC, Romania).
Motivated by the common goal to enhance pandemic preparedness and response at both national and international levels, PANDOMIC will contribute to a more comprehensive and effective genomic surveillance to strengthening the responsiveness of health systems to prevent EU residents from serious cross-border threats.
