PANGEA CONNECTIONS provides advisory services in the areas of governance, management, media and communications, and with special expertise in human rights, global health law and policy. RICK ZEDNÍK, Managing Director -- Rick works with media companies and other international organisations on sharpening their strategic positioning, communications, economic sustainability & growth. He writes and speaks frequently on diversity and inclusion in leadership. Over 25+ years, Rick has held senior management roles at The Wall Street Journal Europe, Euractiv, The Slovak Spectator, and Women Political Leaders (WPL). His advises the GLOBSEC Women Leaders Council and the Reykjavik Global Forum. He has a MBA from Harvard and a MS in Journalism from Columbia. His writing has been published in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and other media. He was a 2024 candidate for election to the European Parliament. RACHEL HAMMONDS, Managing Director -- Rachel is an internationally-recognised global health specialist and human rights advocate. She has held positions at the Harvard School of Public Health's FXB Center for Health & Human Rights, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, the University of Antwerp's Law Faculty, and the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp. Her consulting and research has been for the WHO, UNAIDS, the Council of Europe, Médecins Sans Frontières, and others. Her writing includes over 40 publications in peer-reviewed legal and medical journals. She holds a PhD in Medical Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, a JD from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor's from McGill University. She has been named among 300 Women Leaders in Global Health by The Graduate Institute in Geneva. She is a board member for Mothers at Risk (MAR). Pangea Connections MDs' work has taken them to 35 countries across Europe, Asia (China, India, Japan, Jordan, Qatar, Thailand, UAE), Africa (Dem Rep of Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa), and North America.
