Celebrating nearly 10 years, PANO Network (PANO) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for and advancing the careers of LGBTQ2S+ and women in film, TV, and media (FTVM). By providing education, resources, and opportunities, we aim to foster greater inclusion and equity in an industry that significantly influences society.
PANO is led by a distinguished board, advisors, team, and global community, including award-winning filmmakers. Our safe, inclusive community includes over 3,500 underrepresented filmmakers across the U.S., Europe, Canada, and Australia, engaging over 9,000 social media followers.
Since 2015, PANO has:
Hosted over 200 in-person and online industry events,
Increased access to career-advancing online educational programming available to our members on demand 24/7/365,
Launched a specialized Cinematographer’s Lab,
Awarded five rounds of microgrants to PANO Pro members,
Amplified underrepresented voices at our annual Shorts Showcases (film screenings),
Disbursed Marilyn Horowitz Screenwriting $5,000 Awards,
Orchestrated over 200 PANO Pairs peer mentorships and
Cultivated over 900 job opportunities with industry partners committed to equity and inclusion.
Unlike other filmmaker organizations, PANO serves underrepresented filmmakers of all socioeconomic backgrounds, experience levels, and crafts.
