PAPAA is an independent UK charity dedicated to supporting and advising individuals affected by psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Our mission is to improve the lives of those affected by psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis through advocacy, education, and research. We provide free, confidential services, including a comprehensive website and printed materials that offer in-depth information, practical advice, and resources. We also produce a journal, available twice a year, to keep individuals informed about the latest advancements and support opportunities. PAPAA's services are accessible to everyone, with no commitment required from users to share their details, except when requesting materials by post or joining our free PAPAA website register, which can offer access to relevant updates and mailings. Healthcare professionals can also access bulk copies of our materials for distribution to patients, ensuring that those affected by these conditions receive the most up-to-date and reliable information. In addition to our support services, we offer professional development opportunities through our online course, Psoriasis in Practice , aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of healthcare providers. PAPAA is also involved in advancing research and offers a small grants scheme to fund innovative studies. As a NIHR RDN non-commercial partner of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), we are committed to advancing research that contributes to more effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
