"Having been a hairdresser for 24 years, I never realized the detrimental effect the hairdressing industry had on our planet, until one day I stopped, and decided to take a much closer look at it.
The average Kiwi hair salon uses 2 km of tin foil in a month, New Zealand salons use enough to wrap around the earth once every year.
I was absolutely stunned when I discovered this and realised I had to do something if I was ever going to make a difference before it was too late.. thus Paper Not Foil was born." A first of its kind.
Contrary to normal habits of throwing rubbish in the bin, to end up in a landfill, our paper strips can be reused several times, recycled, and turned back into new Paper Not Foil or other products and (with the help of the sun’s UV rays) they degrade over a few months, leaving no toxic waste at all.
