Paragon Service & Supply commenced operations on March 1, 1991 in Lima, OH as a partnership between Dan Clark and Randy King. They created a service based distribution company serving metalworking customers of Northwest and West Central Ohio with custom designed tooling intended to lower the costs per manufactured part.
On January 1, 2011, Randy retired from the business and Dan became the sole owner. Two short years later on December 2, 2013, Dan sold Paragon to Motion Industries, Inc. and continued to work with the company until his retirement in 2016.
Motion Industries has over 550 branch locations throughout the United States and Canada. Being a part of this corporation has given Paragon the strength of great buying power, while remaining a local business that takes pride on service. Overall, our goal is to provide cost savings and solutions to meet the needs of our customers.
To this day, Paragon's core supplier base and business focus remain unchanged. Paragon continues to provide new cutting tools, repaired cutting tools, abrasives and coolants for the removal and shaping of metals. We also supply spindle related products, holding systems, storage systems; all designed for a customer’s specific needs. We offer custom inventory control solutions geared to specific customer needs. Our fluid specialist coordinates coolant management practices to maximize fluid dollars, recycle whenever possible and achieve the longest possible sump life. Our team is trained to take the customer from the print to the finished part as an integral part of their engineering and production team.
