About Paris Arab Arbitration Practitioners (PAAP)

The Paris Arab Arbitration Practitioners (PAAP) was co-founded by Lara Elborno (DLA Piper) and Cherine Foty (Jones Day) in 2015. It principally seeks to provide opportunities for Paris-based international arbitration associates either of Arab background and/or with a demonstrated interest in the Arab region to network, share common resources, and work towards the further development of arbitration in the Arab World. Since its inception in 2015, PAAP has hosted around a dozen informal networking events and dinners in Paris attended by Arab arbitration practitioners from leading law firms and international companies as well as those in academia focused on international arbitration. PAAP is constantly seeking to expand its member base and its outreach through its organization of quarterly social events and the maintenance of its website as a platform highlighting its member base and their professional achievements, including published articles and speaking engagements.
