Parmarth Samaj Sevi Sansthan is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the livelihoods of vulnerable communities. Since its inception in 1995, Parmarth has served over 130,659 individuals across 12 districts in three states: Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana. The organization believes that capacity building is a key strategy for enabling self-reliance among communities.
Parmarth operates on four core principles: Ecological Restoration, Social Equality, Livelihood Enhancement, and Women’s Empowerment. Guided by a theory of change focused on facilitating and empowering community-driven processes, Parmarth strives to create sustainable, long-term impact.
In recognition of its work in the drought-prone Bundelkhand region, Parmarth has received several prestigious accolades, including the Water Champion Award from UNDP–TERI–IWA and the Bhu-Jal Award, presented by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Yogi Adityanath.
