Parramatta’s Lit! is a new community-led literary festival celebrating the stories and storytellers, writers, publishers, and book lovers of Parramatta.
Presented as part of the Sydney Fringe 2025, the festival is designed to uplift local voices, activate cultural spaces, and champion Western Sydney’s diverse literary talent.
Taking place from 1-29 September 2025, Parramatta’s Lit! brings together a bold program of live readings, panel discussions, book and zine fairs, masterclasses, performances, and public events. The curatorium includes local writing groups, publishers, educators, artists, historians, and First Nations leaders who shape a program reflective of Parramatta’s unique cultural identity.
