DDL Participatory City Making

The Participatory City Making Lab embraces the dynamics of the city to study the changing role of design in a transforming society. We apply a broad palette of participatory principles, design methods and techniques in local experiments to research participation and inclusiveness in addressing sustainable development goals. We elaborate upon systemic approaches, through city labs, fablabs, makerspaces, service jams, hackathons, and urban living labs for experimenting in local context. We design methods and strategies to enhance collaboration among change-makers in the public realm and infrastructure their capacity to change.
