Party Guy Records was founded in February 2010 by Kuato and DJ Haitian. We are a small independent digital record label based out of Burlington, VT. In 2010, we put out 3 releases. The first two were from 2 relatively unknown producers (Bardeenz from Wisconsin, GUTTSTAR from Vermont), and the later was a compilation of upcoming North American bass producers.
Fast-forward to 2011, where we just celebrated our 1-Year Anniversary as a label at the esteemed Greenhouse Nightclub in NYC. In the short span of a year, we have had our tracks played globally on radio stations such as BBC Radio 1XTRA, NPR’S KCRW, SubFM, Prague’s Radio1 and have had our music supported by major publications including FACT, Knowledge Magazine, and XLR8R. In 2011, we plan to, at least, double our number of releases and continue to spread our music internationally. We believe crossing over into multiple genres is a very important and exciting part of an entertaining DJ set. We carry this methodology over into our record label philosophy. Expect anything from electro, dubstep, UK funky, 2-step, to future bass music and beyond from Party Guy Records.
