After 27 years, Past Times is no longer trading. At the end of March 2013, following an offer made to the private equity owners (EPIC Private Equity LLP) by WH Smith, working capital support was withdrawn causing the brand to fall into insolvency.
The brand and associated intellectual property have now passed to WH Smith for an undisclosed sum, and all other business assets to the administrators, Duff & Phelps.
