patero—a term we derived from the ancient Greek words pateo and patere, meaning to lay open—is a boutique provider of translation and paralegal services in intellectual property matters with a particular focus on patents, providing services in German, English, and Turkish.
It was '97, when we started providing translation services to patent attorneys in translating patent applications and other related IP documents—with an inherent affinity for the ideas of inventors and the mechanisms to protect them. Over the years, our services evolved spontaneously to include other services, i.e. proofreading, editing and drafting of patent and utility model applications, as well as searching the prior art.
Since start, we have completed more than 8.000 projects for individual patent agents and patent attorneys, patent and law firms, research and development (R&D) centers, as well as individual inventors and applicants.
We are settled in Ankara, Turkey, and have a network of team members with a background in natural sciences, engineering, or medicine. This means that we do not just translate, but have the background to understand the subject matters we deal with.
