pateyarchitectes, created in 1989, has been installed since late 2009 in the city centre of Chambéry, in the building of the former furniture-making workshops “au grand pasteur”, built in the 1920s.
the team of about 20 people is composed of the professions of architect, interior architect, landscape architect, but also administrative, construction economist, construction manager, graphic designer and layout designer, and brings together the specific skills of qeb (environmental quality of buildings), wood construction, landscape, urban planning, etc. the agency operates in all areas of architecture: housing, education, facilities, offices, industrial and commercial buildings, urban planning, for public and private owners and throughout the Rhône-Alpes region.
the spirit of the original workshop is preserved in the agency’s building with a layout that has preserved the large volumes and left the concrete structure visible, and that gives pride of place to the “industrial” and raw materials and equipment. this superb production tool integrates over 1000 m2 and 4 levels: a site/ economy pole, a administration pole, 2 meeting rooms, 2 design trays, a material library, documentation and a real workshop models, but also a reception/relaxation area associated with a south facing terrace facing the mountains… equipment and logistics are up to the task: filming workshops on all floors, dedicated server rooms, optimized archives.
