Path to Power

Path to Power is an academic research project that studies the profound shifts in politics and society in the digital age. Housed within the Digital Technology, Governance, and Policy research group at the Hasso Plattner Institute of the University of Potsdam. The project investigates the intersection of politics and digital technologies, with a focus on the global south and other less studied political contexts. The team aims to develop a picture of democracy worldwide through large-scale data analysis and in-depth case studies of diverse contexts. We are committed to knowledge dissemination, policy impact and public engagement, and communicating our knowledge and expertise on this crucial topic to a diverse stakeholders in accessible formats to encourage constructive dialogue and support democratic engagement.
