Climate-Wise and Community Health Initiative

Climate-Wise and Community Health Initiative (CHI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the intersection of climate change and public health. CHI was founded by six highly committed development and humanitarian professionals from Nigeria, all driven by a shared passion for improving Africa’s developmental landscape. These founding members come from diverse regions of Nigeria, representing both the northern and southern parts of the country. Their collective expertise and regional perspectives allow CHI to take a holistic approach to tackling climate change and its impacts on health across different communities in Nigeria and beyond. Their motivation stems from the urgent need to enhance Africa’s preparedness and resilience to the growing challenges posed by climate change, particularly in the health sector, where vulnerable populations are at significant risk. CHI seeks to bridge gaps in development efforts by implementing innovative, sustainable solutions aimed at building stronger, healthier communities across the continent.
