About Pathways

Pathways is a United Way Agency providing shelter and resources to women and children experiencing homelessness in the Birmingham, AL area. Our mission is to empower women and children on their path out of homelessness through hospitality, housing, and hope. Our Day Center has been operating since 1985, and we also have 2 residential shelter programs: Safe Haven and Stepping Stones. In early 2020, Pathways will open Alabama's first childcare center exclusively for homeless children.
