Pause Conservations

Pause Conservations is a youth-led organization focused on contributing to a decrease in the decline of biodiversity populations dependent on Lake Victoria. We are currently heavily focused on an education initiative dedicated to inspiring environmental care among Uganda's school-going children. “Chali’s Adventures on Lake Victoria”, our first children's storybook with biodiversity knowledge, brings to life stories told from the perspective of the animals whose lives rely on a healthy ecosystem within the lake's basin. Some of its stories have been shared through interactive reading sessions with young pupils in primary schools without enough resources to educate young learners about the importance of protecting the environment around them. The mission is to connect children from a young age to Lake Victoria, the world's largest tropical lake.
