The Vision of PAWM is that every Parkinson’s Disease patient in West Michigan shall have access to quality health care and support services. Since Parkinson’s Disease affects the entire family, caregiver support shall be a priority.
PAWM has been a catalyst and partner in the establishment of a movement disorders center and The Hauenstein Parkinson’s Center at Mercy Health (formally St. Mary’s Medical Center), which includes medical and rehabilitation treatment for Parkinson’s disease and related disorders.
PAWM encourages development of local research devoted to treatment of Parkinson’s disease and related disorders.
