PBI Metals commissioned its continuous cast copper rolling plant in 2008. The unit is the first FRHC copper rod unit in the country. Prior to the commissioning of PBI Metals manufacturing of copper rod in India was being done in a crude and inefficient manner by batch process which involved casting of ingots and rolling them into rods. The main objective of the firm in setting up a modern copper rod manufacturing facility was to offer consumers in the country best quality copper rods at very competitive prices using the latest technology in the world.
