The main research focus of the Polymer Colloids & Nanomaterials (PCN) group is on the development of stimuli-responsive polymer and nano/micro composite colloids. We are also interested in inorganic/organic hybrid composite materials consisting of a metal oxide including iron, aluminum, and nickel considering their application potential in catalysis, electronics, and biotechnology. Besides, the modification of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles with different ligands or polymers for magnetically and electrically controlled release of drug and biologically active molecules is of another great interest.
