In 2006 the University of Cambridge departments of Anatomy and Physiology merged to become the Department of Physiology, Development & Neuroscience (PDN). The department is one of the largest in the School of Biological Sciences. Research in PDN is primarily in four major areas: Cellular & Systems Physiology Neuroscience Form & Function and Developmental Biology & Reproduction PDN has over 40 potential Ph.D. supervisors. It has a flourishing graduate community with over 100 research students as well as a large post-doctoral contingent.
