PEACE NW was created to honor and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families. PEACE NW is committed to planning and developing a fully inclusive community where individuals and their families are recognized for their gifts and contributions and are honored as fully participating community members without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status. At PEACE NW, we can help you navigate the IEP process, connect you with other parents of children with similar disabilities, and educate and assist you in understanding the services available to your child. All services are free and include emotional support for parents of children with special needs, information, referrals to community resources, trained Helping Parents, and training for parents who want to become volunteer Helping Parents.
