Peace Shapers

Peace Shapers is a registered nonprofit organization in Nigeria with a clear mission: to tackle school violence and empower children as proactive peace-builders through peace education, advocacy,and service-learning initiatives. We firmly believe in providing every child with a violence-free childhood, allowing them to learn, grow, and lead peace. To fulfil this vision, we prioritize creating safe and secure learning environments that provide safe, inclusive and accessible education opportunities for children. Through our educational empowerment initiatives, our objective is to equip children with the necessary knowledge, attitudes, and skills to become agents of peace. By doing so, they can effectively tackle violence, resolve conflicts, and creatively build peace. We recognize children as essential stakeholders in peacebuilding, valuing their pivotal role in shaping a peaceful future. Through our advocacy efforts, we partner with children not only to be included in peacebuilding processes but also to take ownership of their role and create their own space at the table. As an organization, we are fully committed to supporting children to make real impact in their communities. Through our service-learning approach, we provide them with mentorship, resources, networking opportunities, and platforms that amplify their voices and actively engage them as valued shareholders in building a more peaceful Africa.
