I train researchers to communicate clearly and effectively. The training involves taught content and lots and lots of practice and reflection to embed skills. Courses are available in writing funding proposals, project reports, and academic outputs, including papers, chapters and PhD theses. Courses support researchers in universities, charities, industry and government. University offerings are run jointly with Dr Elaine Massung of Academic Smartcuts (former EPSRC Portfolio Manager) include: - 'Couch to £500k' course for early-career researchers and academics for grant and fellowship applications - PhD / DTC / CDT courses in postgraduate writing - Idea generation - Mock EPSRC panels I also offer editing and pre-submission mock reviews of research articles and proposals. I have over 17 years' experience as an academic, have worked extensively with industry, and worked with charities to deliver writing training to their research teams.
