PEAK project

Vaasan yliopiston ja Aktion Österbottenin yhteishankkeessa ”PEAK – Paikallisen energiajärjestelmän kehittäminen Pohjanmaalla” tuotetaan uutta tietoa vauhdittamaan alueellisen energiajärjestelmän muutosta ja kehitystä hiilineutraaliksi uusiutuvat energiamuodot huomioiden. Tarkastelu tehdään teknisestä, taloudellisesta ja yhteisöllisestä näkökulmasta. Hanke alkoi toukokuussa 2024 ja kestää kaksi vuotta. Se on Euroopan unionin osarahoittama ja Vaasan yliopiston tutkimus- ja innovaatioalusta VEBICin koordinoima. Muita rahoittajia ovat Esse Elektro-Kraft Ab, Vaasan yliopisto sekä Aktion Österbotten. --- The joint project ”PEAK – Development of the regional energy system in Ostrobothnia” by the University of Vaasa and Aktion Österbotten creates new knowledge to speed up the development of the regional energy system towards carbon neutrality concerning renewable energy. The work is done from a technical, economic and community point of view. The project stated in May 2024 and will last for two years. It is co-funded by the European Union and coordinated by the University of Vaasa’s research and innovation platform VEBIC. Other funders are Esse Elektro-Kraft Ab, the University of Vaasa and Aktion Österbotten.
