The Peanut Butter Classic is a Women’s Charity Golf Tournament that brings together women with a passion for helping women and children. Since its beginning in 2004, the tournament has raised over $2.3 million to support charities.
We often get asked, why Peanut Butter? When Founder, Heather Forsyth (former MLA) and a group of passionate friends, started the tournament they wanted to do something that supported women and children, and also collect donations for the Calgary Food Bank. At the time, the number one food item required was peanut butter, thus came the unique name for the golf tournament.
Since 2011, Shane Homes has been the Presenting Sponsor of the Peanut Butter Classic. Under the leadership of Shane Wenzel, President and CEO, Shane Homes not only donates funds to the tournament, but they also help maintain the Alcove residences.
