Peasrson Design Office (PDO) is a landscape architecture and urban design studio based in Asheville, NC serving clients throughout the southeast. We are interested in the functional, cultural and ecological roles of designed landscapes and how they shape our experience of cities, neighborhoods, parks and gardens. Our design approach is characterized by blurring the boundaries between landscape, urbanism, planning and natural sciences to create innovative and memorable spaces that add value for our clients. We embrace a rigorous design process that strives for design clarity, site responsiveness, experiential beauty, timeless materials and quality construction. We reject the premise that landscapes are either built or natural and seek to integrate the functional roles of ecological systems while cultivating new landscape experiences. With over 15 years of experience, we understand the importance of collaboration. We collaborate with private clients, architects, public officials and developers to design beautiful and experiential landscapes and gardens.
