Peera is a platform helping students get organized and communicate with each other. Students upload their syllabus to Peera, and we build them a custom schedule for the semester. As we know in which courses students are, we can connect them in group chats that we host.
Peera is a platform for students, built by alumni and students. Peera was created because we had a hard time keeping track of all the deliverables for our classes. Teachers often don’t leverage our learning management tools, leaving students to figure it out on their own. We believe that teamwork makes the dream work. That’s why we automatically connect students in class group chats, and create personalized study rooms for everyone.
Peera started in 2020 with a simple spreadsheet of a semester's schedule. We noticed that there was a high demand for helping students get organized with their work and deliverables during the semester. The first iteration had a little over 50 users downloading a spreadsheet. We now have officially deployed our webapp for McGill students and have hundreds of monthly active users.
