PeerSpring is a social enterprise offering a suite of educational technology solutions to schools and youth-serving organizations. One of our flagship products uses "problem based learning" challenges to empower students to build critical skills and showcase their "next step readiness" for college or career. How it works: >> a teacher, a school, and/or a community partner issues a "challenge" with specific deliverables and timelines; (students engaged in independent studies, can also build out their own challenge and have it approved as the template by which they will work) >> students select (or are assigned) one or more challenges >> students incorporate digital assets (such as photos, videos, slideshows, audio-casts, graphics, artwork, documents, websites etc.) to show their mastery of different skills. Whether part of a scholastic "assignment" or something a student chooses to do because the challenge taps in to their own passions, participants have the opportunity to build solutions collaboratively in a rich, user-friendly, graphical interface.
